Motorola Launching Android Gingerbread Tablet | InfoMov.Com

It is widely known and that is through the infomov.com that Motorola is introducing a ten inch android tablet ring in November which would run the latest edition of Google android which has a code name Gingerbread.

…It can be taken into due consideration that Motorola has already been working with Google android. The company has been recognized for its droid phone last year whereas the recent one and the upcoming one is even highly talked about and awaited.

Due to the reason that there is high expectation from Motorola hence the author is expecting that the shipped tablet will not have a capacity of less than 1GHZ CPU, a 10 inch screen and high resolution.
Well there is a significant level of ambiguity what changes would Google come up with in accordance to the operating systems between Android 2.2 Froyo and Gingerbread.
So for the purpose of making it user friendly, Google will certainly take some actions like downloading of the applications right into to the phone from any browser.
Due to the increase in competition it is not pretty clear that we will have to wait for Gingerbread to see the features mentioned…

How to install Android on your iPhone

Here’s how to install Google’s Android OS on your iPhone. Be forewarned, though: This hack isn’t for the faint of heart.

…Here’s how to install Google’s Android OS on your iPhone. Be forewarned, though: This hack isn’t for the faint of heart.
Maybe you want to liberate your iPhone from Apple’s clutches. Maybe you just want to tinker with something new. Either way, you’ve seen Android running on the iPhone, and you want to try it for yourself.
Still a Work in Progress
Although this port does everything that you expect your smartphone to be able to do, it isn’t usable for day-to-day activities just yet - I haven’t implemented any power-management functions, so a fully charged iPhone running Android will last only an hour or so.
A few bugs and performance issues remain, too, so while the phone will be usable, it won’t be fast. If you do something unexpected (such as forcing the iPhone off), there is a small chance that you may end up restoring your device. However, it is impossible for any bugs to brick or disable your iPhone permanently.
Finally, media syncing is not working, so loading your media onto your phone is kind…

Linux is going mainstream

The truth is that Linux is well on it’s way to being a mainstream operating system. The bad news is that this will not happen the way many of us envisioned. Company that will have the biggest share in this could very well be Google with their Android and Chrome OS.

…company that will have the biggest share in this could very well be Google with their Android and Chrome OS. So we should all be happy about this. We wanted Linux to become very popular. Yet, there is something annoying about a company that is already so massive being the one to take Linux to the next step. On the plus side Ubuntu has a bright future ahead of it and may also gain much of the market share, but this may not happen before Google dominates the markets first.
As awesome as Linux is on the desktop many will use Linux first on their Phone. Most of them will not know that they are running Linux, which is also a bit of a let down. On the positive side the smart phone market is projected to have a market worth of 150.3 Billion dollars by 2014, that is a lot of revenue being generated by companies dealing in Linux based smart phones. So once Linux via Droid and or Chrome dominates the Mobile market and people including open source critics learn they are using Linux, what will happen next? Will Google…

Android Phones Overtakes Apple iPhone

Googles Android devices are outselling Apples iPhones according to a report just released by NPD, a leading market research company. The report says that the strong sales of Droid, Droid Eris, etc. from Verizon Wireless made it possible for the Android to take the lead over Apples OS.

…s OS.

It is true that whenever we refer to Android phones, it is a combination of multiple mobile phones running on the Google Android operating system, while Apple has just one model iPhone competing against all these Android phones. Still, this is a matter of great significance since it is the first time ever the Android based phones have been sold more than iPhones.
Soon enough we will see that Google’s open sourced operating system Android will overpower Apple’s Iphone OS in terms of market share, majorly due to the fact there are multiple handsets, manufacturers and carriers using Android. Given the market share, it will also result in higher App support for the Android phones and better sales when it comes to App store.
What this means for App developers and app lovers?
The developers will now get additional incentive to develop more and more apps for Android phones, since they now have a higher market share to target and moreover they need not face those stringent rules of Apple’s app-store.
Having…

How to customise Google Android phones

One of Android’s biggest strengths is its flexibility.

…Set your own sounds
Itching to make your phone sound the way you want? Start by tapping the Menu key and selecting the Settings menu. From there, tap Sound and display. All of the basics should now be in front of you, including options to set the default system ringtone, the notification sound and the general volume levels.
You might notice that your own MP3s don’t appear in the list of ringtone choices. That’s because your phone doesn’t yet see them as system sounds. Fortunately, this isn’t hard to fix: Make a new folder on your memory card called ‘ringtones’ and copy MP3s into it, and they’ll automatically show up in your selection list.
Power Tip: Want to set your own MP3 music files as notification sounds or alarms, too? Just repeat the process described above, naming the folders ‘alarms’ or ‘notifications’ instead. And if you find yourself wanting to snag a certain piece of a song, say the catchy chorus that starts 45 seconds into your favourite tune, grab the free RingDroid app from the Android…

Microsoft marches on Android and Linux

Slowly, but surely, Microsoft is starting to use it patent portfolio against Linux, starting with Google’s Android.

…? If that’s so, then $8 from every HTC Droid Incredible from Verizon Wireless, at its fully discounted price of $199.99 goes to Microsoft’s wallet. What a deal… for Microsoft.
On the record with me, Gutierrez would only say that, “Microsoft has a decades-long record of investment in software platforms. As a result, we have built a significant patent portfolio in this field, and we have a responsibility to our customers, partners, and shareholders to ensure that competitors do not free ride on our innovations. We have also consistently taken a proactive approach to licensing to resolve IP infringement by other companies, and have been talking with several device manufacturers to address our concerns relative to the Android mobile platform.”
Notice, if you will, that Gutierrez did not say that Microsoft has been talking to Google, the maker of the Linux-based Android operating system. That may make common-sense to you, but you’re not thinking like a patent troll.
You see dealing directly with Microsoft…

How to create, share and play video in Google Android

Whether you’re a videophile or a casual videographer looking to capture life’s precious moments, your Android phone can help you grab plenty of footage and share it with the world.

…Most of the time you’ll be shooting in high quality, which can take up a fair amount of space on your phone’s SD Card. However, if you’re planning to share your videos via MMS messaging, shoot them in low quality to make sure they’ll be small enough to send. You can set video duration to 30 seconds (which is good for MMS), 10 minutes (the maximum length for YouTube), or 30 minutes (which is pretty darn long).
Auto white balance is enabled by default, and usually the results are decent. But if you plan to stay in one place while shooting, it’s best to select your white balance manually, according to the lighting in your environment. Android’s Camera app gives you options for incandescent lighting, daylight, fluorescent lighting, and cloudy days.
If you want to get fancy (some might say obnoxious), you can also opt for colour effects, applying a sepia tone, a negative effect, or a colored tint to your footage. But honestly, if you really want to be creative with your video, just export it to a video editing…
