Heres an interesting bit of information according to the search giant search engine, Google loves apple and hates apple at the same time.
Google thinks Apple:
Is bigger then Microsoft (That’s up for debate)
Is killing the tech sector (LOL)
Is a cult (very true)
Is big brother (coming from Google that’s a complement)
Is the new Microsoft (ROFL)
Is Overrated (heh)
Is the devil (do they mean Steve Jobs?)
Is awesome (Google do use mostly macs in their offices)
Is the best (it’s a love hate relationship)
Is down (????)
As you can see google seems to love and hate apple, these two corporate giants are officially frenemies.

The Trials and Tribulations of Team Android

Google’s Android is the best bet for companies trying to stay competitive with Apple. But the open OS has its share of pitfalls.

…You lost me at “a report from SMobile Systems.” Everyone, with half a brain, in the industry knows that report was a marketing ploy and complete BS. In fact, every App they listed as having the ability to wipe out a persons data was designed to do just that. They are security Apps with a clear purpose. Most of the Apps this company listed in their report were of the same type. Apps meant to make use of location and data to ensure a level of security. Whether it is tracking a family members location (like your child) or making use of “private” data to send SMS alerts for critical information. All of these types of programs were flagged in the very inaccurate report your article is based on. If you took the same App standards they used here and applied them to the Apple Apps store the number of “potentially harmful” Apps would be staggering, purely based on the huge number of Apps Apple has. As a matter of fact, based on SMobile Systems classification of “potentially harmful” Apps I would be willing to bet…

iOS 4 Vs Android: Google Has The Number

…Apple insisted developers to submit their iOS 4 applications as soon as possible, so they will be ready when iOS 4 is released to the public on June 21! But now read this: According to TechCrunch, developers of non-iOS-4 applications are supposedly experiencing longer approval times to get their products into Apple’s App Store to begin with.
Apple has got its 10,000th native iPad application, doubling the size of the iPad App Store in just over six weeks. The landmark itself comes just two months after the release of the tablet device, though it’s but a small part of the total number of apps available for both Apple’s iPad and iPhone: more than 200,000.
As well, the company has started accepting offerings for iOS 4-compatible apps, the next iteration of the iPhone and iPad operating system is currently planned for a June 21 release, hitting devices but three days before the launch of Apple’s newest product, the iPhone 4.

Google Nexus One to get Android 2.2 in a few weeks

Google Nexus One to get Android 2.2 in a few weeks

…Google Nexus One to get Android 2.2 in a few weeksGood news for all you Nexus One owners. Google has just announced via Twitter that the handset will receive its Android 2.2upgrade in a few weeks. They’ve also disclosed that Android 2.2 aka Froyo will be made available to OEMs and the Open Source community in the coming weeks. HTC has said earlier that only some of their 2010 Android handsets will be upgradable to Android 2.2 and that those upgrades will only be released in the second half of the year. The Nexus One is getting it quickly mainly because of the fact that it doesn’t have any third-party UI (like HTC Sense) and also because it is officially a Google product (even-though it’s…

The New Android Market Site Is Less Stupid and More Pretty

I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a radical overhaul—or even fully functional, since it’s missing search and QR codes but Google’s Android Market site is definitely more pleasant and navigable than before. [Android]

…Take a look at the trajectory graph for Google Android’s apps: it is amazing. Last December, 4,000 new apps were created, and 8,000 last month. We expect that number to rise much higher this month. The way the App Market is exploding in size, who knows what will happen by the end of this year!

For reference, it’s Apple’s App Store is on a similar tear, adding nearly 85,000 apps to its ranks since the beginning of the year, when it had just passed 100k. But at this scale, comparing raw numbers doesn’t tell us much the fact here is that Android and iPhone OS are the only two OSes with the meteoric growth in app development commensurate with the widespread demand and appreciation for smartphone apps. In other words, they’re the only platforms that get it, for now….
