What Google thinks of apple: Frenemy

…Apple and Google ever since the introduction of android have been at each others throats, it’s no secret the two companies don’t like each other very much these days. Heres an interesting bit of information according to the search giant search engine, Google loves apple and hates apple at the same time.
Google thinks Apple:
Is bigger then Microsoft (That’s up for debate)
Is killing the tech sector (LOL)
Is a cult (very true)
Is big brother (coming from Google that’s a complement)
Is the new Microsoft (ROFL)
Is Overrated (heh)
Is the devil (do they mean Steve Jobs?)
Is awesome (Google do use mostly macs in their offices)
Is the best (it’s a love hate relationship)
Is down (????)
As you can see google seems to love and hate apple, these two corporate giants are officially frenemies.

Microsoft is Working to Bring Bing Application to Android

There has always been a huge rivality between Microsoft and Google. As you know, Microsoft has been a developer of operating systems for a long time. After a

…s no competition. Speaking of competition, Bing is on a third place as a search engine just behind Google and Yahoo.
As you surely know, Microsoft is working on mobile operating systems as well and they are all using Bing search engine. Interesting this is that Bing search application is available on iOS and from the recent news, we find out that there will be Bing app for Android OS. Microsoft wants to keep its search engine available to all its users on different platforms and operating systems so this move was expected. Android OS is ranked as the second most popular mobile operating system in the United States and since it has millions of users…

Google’s App Inventor For Android Now Open For The Public!

The new tool, App Inventor from Google is deceptive in its appearance.

…s unthinkable for a non-programmer or a student to even dream of creating apps for their mobiles. The power of this device lies in the fact that it will encourage people to think about creating apps on their own, and this is certainly a plus point where students are concerned, as it will create an interest in them.
Google App Inventor underwent a lot of testing for the past year, prior to being released to the public. Students around the United States have been given the opportunity to test it. Some students are said to have created dozens of apps for the Android phone, leading to the elimination of programming fear.

All sorts of apps can be created: simple games, informative and educational apps, quiz apps and many more. Apps can be built to store data created by users in a database. Want an app that lets you know your location? OR where your car is parked? Use the GPS-location sensor. Unable to take calls because…

Googles Gundotra Goes After Apple: The Video

At Thursday’s Google I/O keynote, VP of engineering Vic Gundotra repeatedly ripped into Apple, and he did it right off the bat. The video after the jump, which just came out, shows the first ten minutes of his keynote where he discusses why the world needs Android. But that is not the interesting part.

…I strikes me that so much of this vision is a negative vision of anti-Apple. It is not about making new devices that free people to communicate, its about keeping Apple from dominating the industry.
Google was a partner with Apple on the iPhone. It had prominent position there. Maps app, seamless integration with GMail, GCal, YouTube. Apple synced the Mac Address Book to Google and put Google in the toolbar of Safari.
Now they are motivated to copy Apple and then tell us how bad Apple is. It seems very false to me.
Also, if Andy Rubin is such a great leader for this stuff, where is he? Why are we hearing from this former Microsoft guy?
People say Apple is Microsoft now but really its Google that is Microsoft now. Microsoft’s real position was repackaging Apple’s innovations so other hardware makers could ship products that were more like Apple products. Apple had a GUI on the Mac, Microsoft made Windows so that other hardware makers could ship products that also had GUI. Now Google is doing the same…

Google TV Vs. Apple TV Is Android Vs. iPhone Round 2

During the keynote at Google I/O today, Google took a lot (and I do mean a lot) of not-too-subtle shots at Apple. Most of this was related to Android vs. iPhone, but it also delved into something else with the new Google TV platform. At the Q&A following the keynote, someone asked the question: what does this mean for Apple TV?

…A following the keynote, someone asked the question: what does this mean for Apple TV?
Google dodged the question a little at first. Their line is that the TV ecosystem is now ready for something like Google TV (that implies that it wasn’t before with devices such as the Apple TV). But they also noted that their idea is different from Apple because they’re trying to do this in a different way. That way, naturally, is the open way.
Whereas Apple TV is a device and a piece of software, Google TV is just a platform. Sony TVs will be called something different, for example, but they’ll have Google TV built-in. And this is an important distinction because it allows Google to take what makes current TVs popular showing TV content and build on top of it. Apple doesn’t do that with Apple TV. Instead, they created an entirely new way to get content (by download via iTunes).
Users shouldn’t have to choose between TV or the web they can have both, is the way Google put it.
Google’s Vic Gundotra went further. He called…
