…Apple and Google ever since the introduction of android have been at each others throats, it’s no secret the two companies don’t like each other very much these days. Heres an interesting bit of information according to the search giant search engine, Google loves apple and hates apple at the same time.
Google thinks Apple:
Is bigger then Microsoft (That’s up for debate)
Is killing the tech sector (LOL)
Is a cult (very true)
Is big brother (coming from Google that’s a complement)
Is the new Microsoft (ROFL)
Is Overrated (heh)
Is the devil (do they mean Steve Jobs?)
Is awesome (Google do use mostly macs in their offices)
Is the best (it’s a love hate relationship)
Is down (????)
As you can see google seems to love and hate apple, these two corporate giants are officially frenemies.

…Google has released tools that “make it easy for anyone to create programs for Android phones”.
Much like Lego, App Inventor lets people drag “blocks” of code around to create applications.
Google said it had been working on the system for a year and were pitched at those with little knowledge of programming.
The tools have been tested over the last 12 months by school children and college students, it said.
The graphical blocks represent the different functions and capabilities of a smartphone.
For instance, one tester of the App Inventor used the GPS locator, timer, and database querying blocks to produce an app that told his friends where he was every 15 minutes.
MIT inside The programming system was developed with the help of computer scientists at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) who created a similar coding system known as Open Blocks.
MIT scientist Mitch Resnick used it to create the Scratch programming language that lets children put together programs by clicking and dragging…

Apple’s iPad passes Google Android in total browser us

Apple’s iPad passes Google Android in total browser usage share.

…More people are browsing the Web via an iPad than on an Android-powered device, according to new monthly browser usage data from one analytics firm.

In just three months on the market, Apple’s iPad has come to represent 0.17 percent of all Web browser traffic tracked by Net Applications. The iPad’s June total managed to exceed Android, which represented 0.14 percent of all Web browsing traffic.
Behind both of them was another iOS-powered device from Apple, the iPod touch. In June, the iPod touch took 0.12 percent of the Web browser share, according to Net Applications.
The iPad has seen a steady climb since it was released in April, notching 0.03 percent in the first month, when it was only available in the U.S. In May, the numbers tripled to 0.09 percent, only to nearly double again in June to the 0.17 percent figure that pushed it past Android.
The numbers, however, do not mean that there are more iPads on the market than Android devices. But the stats do indicate that a far higher percentage of iPad…

Modern operating systems designed for the Web age—like the iPhone OS, Android, and Google’s upcoming Chrome OS—were built from the ground up with security in mind.

…The future and what to do about it.The End of Malware? How Android, Chrome, and the iPad are shielding us from dastardly programs.By Farhad ManjooPosted Thursday, June 3, 2010, at 4:34 PM ETIs it safer to bank on an iPad? Android 2.2, codenamed Froyo, will be up to five times faster at running apps and three times faster at browsing.

…”We continue to partner with Apple in many, many areas. What we said was not necessarily directed at Apple only but a very strong theme of the web is openness, inclusion and choice and that’s where we stand.”Data in the cloudSome of the features in Froyo will have to be built into new apps, like the ability to back up not just the device but also the data inside applications and the cloud messaging service. “This is much more than a push notification service designed to make up for a lack of basic features like multitasking,” said Gundotra and used it to demonstrate sending directions from Google Maps on the desktop directly to the phone. This is also the way the next version of the Android Marketplace will let you send apps (and possibly music) directly to your phone over the…
