…What is going on? I recently searched something via Facebook and saw that now Bing is the default browser. And I can’t change this. Maybe this is because of the reason that Microsoft ownes a small percentage of Facebook.

Microsoft Creates Tag For Google Android Mobile Phone

Microsoft (MSFT) has created an application to operate on Google’s (GOOG) Android phone, named Tag. Tag is a free bit of software that use’s the handset’s camera to turn it into a mobile barcode reader. By releasing the application for Android, continues Microsoft’s program of making software for rival phone firms.

Tag works by reading barcodes that can become coupons that link people to websites, pass on information or give visitors a discount in an online store.In February, 24 of the worlds largest mobile network phone operators banded together to create the Wholesale Applications Community. This will try to make it easy for application developers to make and sell phone applications. Apple (AAPL) has the most mature mobile apps store. In early January, Apple said more than three billion applications had been downloaded from its store.

Android Open Source Phone Shown at CES 2008

AT CES 2008, Chinese company Winstron showed off their GW4, one of the world’s first Google Android handsets. The Linux-based Android operating system was announced this past November and the GW4 phone has a number of impressive features own its own, including Wifi, a 2.5″ touchscreen, a 2MP camera, and full QWERTY keyboard.
