iPhone hacker and Dev-Team member Planetbeing just managed to port Google’s Android Mobile OS to the iPhone.
…Superior? HAH. If you’re a Google sucker and use Google this and Google that, it might be superior, but for the rest of us adults, Android is a complete farkin FAILURE. Look at the bugs (many of them involving permanent data loss) at code.google.com/p/android a big one now is that the OS is simply blowing away saved text messages. Email is broken. Bluetooth is half assed. You still can’t install apps on the SD card. It still barfs at PDF support. It barfs with Google DOCS for pete’s sake. Android is a half baked broke ass shareware project. I am amazed that any company is shipping phones with it in the state that it’s in. Seriously look at all of the problems that people are having with it on their Droid. Poor Exchange support, crappy email, weak media player. Aside from multitasking (which sucks battery life) what DOES Android really do better? I can’t think of anything except cater to Google.
